The reason for CrazyTrain

I started this blog for a health class; I have never blogged before... I guess we shall see where this goes. I am not a stranger to writing, but writing for others to read is a different story. Either way I am much better in detail when conversing on things that are important to me, than what I think others want me to discuss.

The only practice that I actually halfway got through was the subtle mind; the sessions did nothing for me really, as they had to do with narration and that is NOT my idea of relaxation. I have 4 kids, the best words are unsaid. Yoga has been a bit helpful, It's good for breathing and helps relax me for meditation or prayer, to me they go hand-in-hand. These exercises are good for relieving tension from the day, and clearing my mind of thoughts that stress me out and get my blood pressure up; they are good mentally and physically. My mental fitness is in utilizing these practices to keep me from going completely insane from my external stimuli on a daily basis; partly being that my pup thinks my yoga mat makes a great chew toy... grrr, lol.

    1. holy four kids batman:)That's enough to make me want to run....away:) You must have a super hectic life and it has to be difficult to fit any type of exercise in. I'm glad you enjoy walking that's how I stared and believe it or not i used to hate running. It helps having a running group of friends that keep you motivated. I'm so glad you are starting to do some yoga and prayer I think that's a super way to start a day in a positive way and a great way to relax at night before sleep.

    2. Hey Crystal! Just wanted to stop by to say hello and to say "Don't go insane!" You are doing the right thing by having an outlet of doing yoga, meditation and prayer. Prayer is wonderful. My two practices are visualization and meditation. Meditation keeps me sane as well. I had small children once and raised them by myself after divorcing so I know just how you feel about "going insane." My children are young adults now and out of the house. I deal with "mean spirited" people on my job so I really have to pray and meditate every moment that I can. P.S. You may need to get your pup his/her own yoga mat to work out too (lol).

      Take care!

    3. Crystal, it sounds like you have an excellent game plan in place, that is if your puppy can behave himself. lol. I have four kids as well. When the two oldest were almost teenagers, my husband and I had two more! Ohhh, my I wish I had these techniques back then when there were two babies and two teens in the house at the same time! They are all adults now and life has settled into a different kind of routine since those days. I think for as long as we shall live we will have storms in our life and some sort of chaos hovering around. I have had my share lately and am feeling so blessed to have learned all that I did through this class and through sharing with all of you throughout this term. I wish you well as you travel on. :)
